Biography

"Spq-Her (pronounced "speak her"):...the resuscitation of soul." Spq-Her consists of Wizdom and Stephstaa: vocalists/songwriters/poets/femcees, whose progressive outlook on the world is the secret ingredient baked into their songs. Their style of hip hop, spoken word, and soulful vocal sounds is unsurpassed by any duo known by the contemporary musical world. Born on the opposite poles of musical spectrums, WizDdom and StephStaa have received accolades from their performances with Common, Kindred, Lisa Raye, Erykah Badu, KRS 1 and Kool Herc to name a few. Now, they've come together as Spq-Her to create a synergy that satisfies the soul of listeners craving the satisfaction of music destined to be classic for generations to come. "Spq-Her is about speaking about, to and from that which we come. It's our tool to balance culture with gutter, love and hate, planned action and reaction. Our music is not new, it grew out of something bigger than us," says WizDom of Spq-Her.
