Biography

Hailed "Soul Kitten" by Billboard magazine, Mauree's musical journey began at age five and has since continued. This Chicago native has gone on to sing background and opening act for such artist as: Jean Carne, Ce Ce Penniston, Bernie Mac ,
Will Downing , the late great Phyllis Hyman , Michael Henderson
and, Sir Nose of Parliment and the Funkadelics.
Now working on her third cd, Mauree performs around the country regularly . Her music is steeped in a lush classicalsoul style, with her favorite theme running through it; Love.
